Who We are

Laur kelly

Laur Kelly (they/them) has been providing grief care, education, and worker wellbeing supports in the Harm Reduction movement since 2015 through their project Care Through Chaos and as the Project Manager of curriculum development and education at ABRPO. Their work is rooted in lived experiences of substance use and recovery, trauma healing, and disability. They are completing a Master of Social Work with a focus on holistic and decolonial approaches to worker wellbeing and education.

We are a dynamic team with a combined 35 years of grief and loss support for workers. We have varied lived experiences that reflect the communities we work with. We bring expertise in a trauma-informed and harm reduction approach to substance use-related grief, workplace trauma, and multiple loss.

chris leonard

Chris Leonard (she/her) is a process facilitator who brings extensive experience supporting communities and workers impacted by grief and loss related HIV/AIDS, sexual violence, community violence, the opioid poisonings, and other traumatic losses. Her facilitation and trainings are grounded in holistic, anti-oppressive frameworks that builds capacity in areas of Vicarious Trauma, Grief and Loss, Impact Debriefing and Collective Care strategies. Chris brings mindful awareness to her work that provides tools for support.

dang Din

Dang Din (he/him) is a Social Service Worker operating out of Downtown Toronto. He works in the harm reduction sector and specializes in working with those who are experiencing homelessness and drug use, a client base which he shares lived experiences with. Ever since Dang was 14, he has battled with the incarcerate system, and for 10 years he struggled with opiate dependency. Today he is 7 years sober and is using that experience to connect with his clients. The Church of The Holy Trinity, Toronto Public Health, Rittenhouse, and ABRPO provide Dang the platform where he can continue to grow, learn and teach.
